Umbria

Umbria
Umbria, a landlocked area in the heart of central Italy, is the only Italian region with neither a coastline nor an international border, hiding some of the country's greatest treasures. In Umbria you’ll find lush rolling hills, hilltop villages and iconic, historic towns; its climate and geography similar to that of Toscana, with cold, rainy winters and dry sun-filled summers. Umbria is Italy’s fourth-smallest region and produces only a third as much wine as Toscana, but the winemakers in this intimate area are undergoing a period of exciting change as Umbrian wines become more known and respected on the world scene.
